Michael Graham is a Bechtel Principal Vice President and serves as Manager of Functions for the Nuclear, Security, and Environmental (NS&E) Global Business Unit. In this role, Graham oversees all functions that deploy staff to projects and programs; he also serves as the functional manager for NS&E’s Project Managers. He oversees the performance and staffing of projects for the nuclear industry, as well as commercial and government projects in the Security and Environmental business lines.
Previously, Graham was associate director of Environmental Programs at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico, responsible for managing the Laboratory’s $3 billion program to remediate legacy radioactive and hazardous waste sites resulting from Manhattan Project and Cold War activities.
Before his tenure at Los Alamos, Graham served as head of Bechtel Savannah River, Inc. from 2006 to 2008. Graham also held key management positions for Bechtel at sites including the Idaho National Laboratory and the Hanford Site in Washington state. Prior to Bechtel, Graham held senior technical and leadership positions at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
Graham received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana and his doctorate and master’s degrees in geological sciences from Indiana University.
