Computer Security: The Savannah River Site (SRS) does not allow external thumb drives to be inserted in Site computers. Therefore, participants that will be making a presentation will be required to submit the presentation in advance to the following SRS personnel: email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. If you would prefer to bring your government issued laptop with you, you will be given access to connect to the government overhead projector but not to the SRS network.
Food Availability: Please note that Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) will provide a continental breakfast for participants on Tuesday, April 24, morning. Lunch and a hot breakfast will be available for visitors to purchase via our SRS Cafeteria each day.
BADGING REQUIREMENTS FOR SRS:
Participants with a current HSPD-12 Badge will not be required to stop at the SRS Badge Office. However, if you do not have a current HSPD-12 badge you will be required to get a Visitor Badge. To obtain a Visitor Badge you must notify Janet Griffin on or before April 16. You may email her at email@example.com or call (803) 952-8467. You will be required to provide the following information per our badging requirements: name and address as they appear on your driver’s license and social security number. When arriving to obtain your visitors badge you will be required to provide proper identification. Please review the SRS Badging Requirements. Without proper identification you will not be permitted on Site.
SAVANNAH RIVER SITE TOUR:
A Tour of the Savannah River Site will be offered to participants on Thursday, April 26 from 12:30 – 4:30 pm. This is an excellent opportunity to see the Site and learn more about current operations at SRS. The tour will also include a Live Animal Demonstration at the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory (operated by the University of Georgia). However, space is limited on this tour. Please be sure to indicate that you will be participating using the EFCOG registration process. If you register and find that you will no longer be able to participate please notify Janet Griffin immediately so your space can be opened to another participant.
