Randy is a Project Director for AREVA Federal Services (AFS) LLC. In that capacity he works to develop and manage large projects for AFS, and to solve project and operating issues that are cross cutting over the span of their operations. Before working with AFS, he was Vice President of Project Management, Construction, and Commissioning for AREVA NP, heading up those operations for AREVA in North America and working to develop those capabilities for AREVA worldwide.
Prior to working with AREVA, Randy worked with Babcock and Wilcox (now BWXT), where his last role was as Vice President of Management and Technical Services, providing operations management services to DOE sites including LANL, ORNL, Y-12, and Pantex, as well as laboratory and decommissioning services to the Naval Reactors program and to commercial markets.
Randy’s background includes management of businesses, large projects, nuclear facilities, product development, business development, and engineering. His educational background includes a BS in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University, a Masters in Applied Mechanics from the University of Virginia, and Masters in Business from Duke University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Randy has served on the Board of Governors of UT-Battelle, the managing contractor for Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and on the Board and as Chair of several non-profit organizations.
