Biography

 Elizabeth (Liz) Porter currently serves as Senior Vice President, Federal Energy & Environment for Leidos Civil, where she oversees an organization that provides world class environmental science, energy and engineering solutions/services to all our federal, state and local clients including the Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

 Previously, Ms. Porter served as the DoDIN & Mission Partner Program Director, for Leidos Defense. In this capacity, she was responsible for the oversight of the Defense Information System Agency Global Services Management-Operations task orders in support of Joint Information Environment.  These task orders include efforts focused on new Joint Force Headquarters, Joint Regional Security Stacks, Mission Partner Support and multiple other DISA Enterprise Services.

 Prior to that she served as the Director of Energy Initiatives, Corporate Engineering & Technology (CE&T) at Lockheed Martin.  In that role, she was responsible for developing and executing the strategy for the energy campaign working closely with business areas and corporate strategy and business development to leverage capabilities and grow the business in the expanding energy market from February 2009 to April 2012. Selected by the Department of Energy and MIT as first-ever recipient of the U.S. Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) Initiative Award (Corporate Implementation) in 2012.

 Throughout her career, Ms. Porter has led several critical initiatives for Lockheed Martin, including advanced programs (proposal execution) management, engineering and operations management for the Defense Messaging System, database design and software development for the Global Transportation Network all for Lockheed Martin’s Mission Systems.  She started her career with Lockheed Martin’s Space Systems Company (prior General Electric Astro) as a solar array design and electrical power subsystem engineer.

Ms. Porter graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and from the University of Colorado with a master’s degree in Business Administration. Ms. Porter’s serves on the Industrial Advisory Board to the Engineering Department at Villanova University, and on the advisory board of the Montgomery County Business Round Table for Education.

Biography

David “DJ” Johnson is the Vice President for the Federal Solutions Business Enterprise for Honeywell. As the Honeywell Senior Executive for Federal Solutions, DJ serves as the primary interface with federal customers and industry partners. He leads the integration of HON-affliated sites to drive improved performance. He provides governance leadership through chairmanship and/or membership on several oversight bards for the Limited Liability Companies supporting the Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security Administration.

Prior to his current position, DJ served as the Vice President and General Manager for the Defense Systems Customer Business Team. His organization was responsible for overseeing the design, development, production and delivery of products and services that address the specific needs for Honeywell’s defense customers. The Customer Business Team (CBT) acts as the Aerospace single point of contact for Honeywell’s Business-to-Business relationship with Boeing Defense and Lockheed Martin to include customer demand, order & contract management, quality & delivery performance, customer relationship retention and business optimization.

He has held previous customer-facing business leader roles to include VP/GM for the Aircraft Engine Components which included key aerospace customers such as General Electric, SAFRAN, Pratt & Whitney, United Technologies Aerospace Systems, and Rolls Royce. DJ also served as the VP/GM for the Space Business Segment with Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc. (HTSI). In this role he was responsible for Honeywell’s business serving the Air Force, NASA, NOAA and USGS.

DJ came to Honeywell after 23 years of service in the United States Air Force. His distinguished Air Force career involved the development, acquisition and operation of command & control systems, computers & communications systems, as well as intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations. He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, University of Houston – Clear Lake, and the National Defense University. During his 23 year career in active duty with the Air Force, DJ operated dish and phased-array antenna sites in eastern Turkey and North Dakota providing missile warning operations for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).

He has served on the Air Staff and on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon as well as the Chief of Satellite Operations at Air Force Space Command in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this position, he oversaw the development and implementation of the next generation command & control systems for operating MILSTAR, DSCS, Advanced EHF and Wideband Global communications satellite programs. From 1996-1998, he served a tour with the National Reconnaissance Office while assigned to Fort Meade as the Chief of Mission Planning.

In addition to his military expertise, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the United States Air Force Academy and Master’s Degrees from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and the National Defense University.
