SCIP is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2024 Safety Culture Improvement Panel Annual Meeting and Safety Culture Workshop. The meeting and workshop will be held Monday, August 5, 2024, through Friday August 9, 2024 on the Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB) in Albuquerque NM. Click here to view the draft Agenda.
Registration is required and registration will close on June 28, 2024 (no exceptions due to KAFB Access Requirements). There is no registration fee for this event. The event is exempt from DOE Conference Management (Exemption B,D,E). Registration for the event will be limited to 400 in person participants.
Due to KAFB and site access requirements, the Registration Process is comprised of 3 Required Steps:
Step 1: Complete Whova Registration
1. See registration link below
Step 2: Site Access/ Base Access List
2. Upon completion of Step 1, you will be provided with a link to a second registration form. This form collects information that will be sent to KAFB in advance to clear attendees access to the base for this event.
3. This form will ask you for additional personal information (PII), including your full name, birthday, and social security number, that will be transmitted directly to the Sandia Field Office and Kirtland Air Base’s Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDs).
1. Note: This information is being retained on Sandia’s and KAFB’s secure servers and will only be accessible by authorized DOE or KAFB personnel.
4. If you do not complete this form, you will not be included in the events Base Access List and will not be able to attend this event.
5. Your registration will be considered incomplete unless you complete Step 2.
6. This form must be completed by the registration deadline — June 28, 2024 (no exceptions due to KAFB access requirements).
Step 3: RSVP for Breakout Sessions
1. Seating capacity for breakout sessions is limited to 75-100 participants (or as noted).
2. This can be done in the WHOVA app on the event Agenda by clicking the RSVP button next to sessions you wish to attend.
3. Breakout sessions may fill up quickly- RSVP as soon as possible.

HOTELS: Sandia National Laboratories has worked with local hotels to arrange for a limited number of government rate rooms. Discounted rooms are available to those who have completed registration. These discounted rates are available based on first come, first serve (each hotel has a cap on the number of discounted rates).
To access this list – open the WHOVA app. From your home screen click on the logistics tab. Then click on “Hotel” to find the list of hotels and a link to book your hotel at the discounted rate.
To receive this discounted rate, rooms must be booked no later than 7/3/2024. Government rates rooms may not be available after that time (check with the individual hotels for alternate rate).
VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION
For those unable to attend in person, plenary sessions will be broadcast virtually. Breakout sessions will not be broadcast. To attend the virtual broadcasts only, please register using this link.
